WHY NIGERIAN CHILD BLOG

We are living in a society that is undergoing a rapid and expansive media growth especially with the social media. Nigerian children are not left out of this historic media saturation as many of them have become active NETIZENS. Consequently, we have most children as young as five to six years visiting websites and webpages in search of various things including video games and movies. There are also some who make use of search engines like google in an effort to get answers for their assignments and other things.

There is no gainsaying the fact that within Nigerian social media experience, children are not adequately accommodated as we cannot locate any website, blog or network that is entirely dedicated for child infotainment. When the desirable is not available, the available becomes the desirable. It is on account of this that most of our children are today lost in the web while they are in search of what would resonate with them.

Most parents are unfortunately not in control as most children have even become more proficient in internet usage than their parents just as most of them could operate the television sets more than their parents. This situation raises a lot of concern to few attentive minds and that supplies the reason for NIGERIAN CHILD BLOG (NCB).
